As a UK student, you’ll join a week-long immersive experience in rural India. Through Sapna, you’ll teach motivated high school students, explore a vibrant culture, and gain real-world leadership skills.
Our Approach
Our goal is to inspire, mentor and guide students to apply to higher education. The practical approach of the teaching combines academics, careers and curiosity. We run 1-2 week long outreach trips, alongside an ongoing post-trip mentorship scheme. There are 4 stages of every trip.
Registration
Timeline: 4 months before your trip
The first step to becoming a part of a life changing outreach programme. Choose one of our available volunteering trips across India, across the year.
Preparation
Timeline: 2 months before your trip
We’ll guide you through every step of the way. From applying for funding, preparing lesson plans and booking flights/ accomodation. Our experienced trip ambassadors will ensure you’re fully prepared.
The Trip
Timeline: up to 2 weeks in India
On the trip, you’ll have the opportunity to create real impact and change lives, by inspiring children to pursue their dreams in education. Your visit to India lasts 1-2 weeks, and you'll have taught over 150 students
Mentorship
Timeline: ongoing, post-trip
We work with Universities in India to provide ongoing mentorship and career guidance to the students, to ensure their their excitement around education and learning is maintained. You'll also have a chance to expand your impact and become a core part of Sapna Education.
